ITVISMA: STEER and STRENGTH Touch Screens for a Gene Therapy Launch
Two offline touch screens for Novartis's ITVISMA launch in Dubai. 14 screens cut straight from the approved artwork, with chart motion, a 4K canvas that fits any 16:9 panel, and nothing fetched from the network.

The Challenge
For Novartis’s ITVISMA launch in Dubai, the event needed two large touch screens, one per study. STEER covers treatment-naïve patients with SMA. STRENGTH covers patients who stopped a previous treatment. A doctor walks up, taps, and moves through the study design, the results and the safety data on their own.
The content is approved medical material, so no number, line or comma could change. And the screens had to run on a large TV in the hall with no internet and no server.
What We Built
14 touch screens: 8 for STEER and 6 for STRENGTH. Each study is one web page that runs full screen and opens straight from a folder or a USB stick.
STEER
A landing screen, then the study design, results at Week 52 and Week 64 with HFMSE and RULM tabs, the post hoc analysis, and safety.

STRENGTH
A landing screen, then the study design, HFMSE, RULM, ACEND, and safety and tolerability.

True to the Approved Artwork
We did not re-typeset a single screen. We wrote a cutter that slices every screen out of the design PDF into pieces, and the build lays the pieces back in place, in the PDF’s own paint order. Text stays vector, so it is sharp on any panel from 720p to 8K, and the fonts, weights and line breaks are the approved ones.
The cutter refuses to finish if any element falls outside every piece, or inside two. So a revised PDF cannot quietly lose a footnote or draw one twice. An automated check compares every screen with its page of the PDF at 4K.
Motion
Each piece has its own motion. Text rises and fades in. Chart lines draw in from the left over a frame that is already there. Bars grow. Footnotes always come last, after all the data. The motion is short on purpose, because a touch screen has to feel instant under a finger. It all switches off when the machine is set to reduce motion.
Ready for the Hall
The design canvas is 3840 × 2160. Any 16:9 panel fills edge to edge with the same layout. Other ratios keep 16:9 and leave a soft margin. Each screen goes back to its landing screen after 2 minutes without a touch, pinch zoom is blocked, and a full screen button sits in the corner. Every file is inlined into the page, so nothing is fetched from the network.
